The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Staff Embedded Software Engineer to join their expanding R&D team. You will play a critical role in developing firmware and embedded systems that power robots, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalability.
What You’ll Do:
Firmware Development
- Contribute to the core firmware of cutting-edge consumer robotics systems.
- Design and implement firmware for sensor drivers, motor controls, OTA updates, and bootloaders.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize performance and ensure seamless integration.
Embedded Systems
- Build embedded software frameworks to support real-time processes, including neural network execution and compute-intensive algorithms.
- Develop scalable systems from the ground up, ensuring reliability and robustness in dynamic environments.
- Work across multidisciplinary teams to align hardware, software, and AI systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience contributing to firmware for innovative consumer electronics or automotive products.
- Expertise in embedded software frameworks, with a strong background in building systems for robotics, consumer electronics, or autonomous vehicles.
- Experience with sensor integration, motor control systems, and OTA functionality.
- Ability to work across multiple processes running advanced AI models and compute-heavy algorithms.
- A track record of high performance in fast-paced environments, with a demonstrated ability to execute complex 0-to-1 projects.
- High energy, high agency, and a passion for solving hard problems.
